06/13/2026
Fly Fishing 101: Class is offered on Saturdays. The core classes are taught here at Red's Fly Shop along the banks of the Yakima River. These are land based courses so students don't need any gear to participate, we've got ya covered with rods and reels. It's a comfortable environment with espresso and breakfast available upon check-in. Students will enjoy a break between sections with just enough time for lunch and a drink before starting the more advanced lessons in the afternoon. https://redsflyfishing.com/pages/beginners-fly-fishing-class
Fly Fishing 201: Class is offered on Sundays. This class moves beyond the basics, focusing on techniques like mending for better line control, achieving a drag-free drift, and executing a roll cast. You’ll also dive into intermediate casting skills, including shooting line for extra distance and kackhanded casting for tricky angles. To round it out, we’ll cover essential advanced knots, like the Triple Surgeon’s knot and key line-splicing connections. Whether you’re looking to improve your presentation or gain more control over your setup, this course will help you fish smarter and more effectively. https://redsflyfishing.com/pages/fly-fishing-201-intermediate-class
